Chip and Amanda Hendley tied the knot on June 9, 2012 at the Paces House in Vinings, GA.  The historically preserved home, Vinings city backdrop and unusually cool weather, made for a perfect GA wedding.   Guests were seated underneath a  lighted canopy that was later transformed into a large dance floor.  The dj had the perfect touch of keeping everyone entertained and involved.   The food was delicious and sprawled throughout the entire pavilion.  And, what wedding is not complete without Cornhole and an upbeat wedding party that kept the dance floor bouncing all night long.   Chip and Amandas laid back, carefree, love is in the air attitudes created the perfect atmosphere for an early summer wedding.  We wish you a life time of happiness!  Thank you for letting us be a part of your memorable day.

Caden was brought into the world on May 14th by his parents Matthew and Allison Kaczenski.  These are a handful of the photos we took at four weeks old. This little guy was smiling and relaxed the whole time.

Anyone know what its like to run at 8:30 in the morning in January when the temperature is around 27 degrees? Ask Lynn; she ran in a 5k with 83 other runners to benefit the PA students of the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta this past weekend. Skidmore Photography was a sponsor of the event and was on hand to take pictures of all of the brave runners.   I was surprised to see how many turned up to run, those kind of temps are tough to operate a camera in, much less go running. Congrats to all the runners who participated in the event.

I just got finished redesigning the website, working out all the bugs and uploading more images to it. (Sorry if some of you got strange emails saying test, or asking you to subscribe; those were some of the bugs and were accidental)   I hope everyone has a good holiday, and new year. Check out the re-vamped site, let me know what you think and give some suggestions etc… I won’t take any of it personal. Meanwhile, my brother Dustin, as we all know, is a whiz with videography, and has put together this great idea called a “Yule Log”. It’s really neat. Its like having your own fireplace on your computer. I don’t know where he comes up with these ideas, they’re brilliant, this one especially. (Ssarcasm intended) Anyways, enjoy, and see you next year!

On 8/27/2011, Tonya Goolsby and Ronnie Higgs tied the knot at the Houston Mill House in Atlanta, GA. It was a perfect Saturday, not too hot for Atlanta at this time of year. There was a gentle breeze blowing from remnants of Hurrican Irene which kept you cool enough to enjoy the day. The wedding was outdoors and was highlighted by purple flowers hanging from a tree under which the ceremony was held. The bride looks astonishing in her dress and shoes, and the flower arrangements were beautiful. A saxophonist accompanied Tonya to the aisle as she was led to by two of her brothers. A guitar player signaled the end of the ceremony. A lot of thought and attention to details went into this wedding and it showed. The reception followed afterwards with an outdoor dinner. Tables were labeled with the names of places that were significant to the bride and groom, places they’ve vacationed, traveled etc…
After dinner and speeches by the man of honor and bridesmaid, everyone headed inside of the Houston Mill House for a long night of dancing and celebration. We are very thankful to Tonya and Ronnie Higgs for allowing us to be a part of their special day. Below is a shortened video of the special day.

Wow it has been hot. It’s hurricane season again, which means the summer is wrapping up. Hurricane Irene just missed us here in Atlanta, thankfully. We shot an outdoor wedding on Saturday of Tanya and Ronnie Higgs which thankfully wasn’t interrupted by anything else but a nice breeze on a 95 degree day. On Sunday we headed up to Johns Creek and swam at my parents neighborhood pool. This would be Emery’s second time in the water. The first time she was only a few months old. This time she was splashing water around wildly. I think she enjoyed it.

The other day Porter was following a Monarch Butterfly around the Zinnias that I planted by our patio. These were the flower seeds we gave away at our wedding. We had a ton left so I randomly planted some around the patio to see what they would do. They exploded in size in just a coupe of weeks and have attracted butterflies and hummingbirds. Porter must have followed this butterfly for ten minutes before it finally flew away.

So they are completely screwing up, sorry, renovating Main St. in Downtown Tucker, GA. Its nice to see some modernizing of an old railroad town however, it is difficult watching the incompetency of the hired workers. (It’s taking place outside of our offices, which are on Main St.) They have been leaving trash everywhere, screwing up the design, and just overall botching the simplest of tasks. Today one of the workers decided to drive a small tractor up onto the brand new sidewalk that was poured with concrete only a couple of weeks ago. Genius sir. Genius.

Had a good time over the fourth of July weekend shooting some pictures of 7 month old Emery. She has gotten so expressive. She also wanted to crawl non-stop so getting her to sit still proved impossible. She did give me some good candids as she would crawl towards my lens. Anyways, here are a few from the session.
